MEMBERSHIP

1. Membership shall be open to any student currently enrolled at the UA regardless of age, color, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, religion, or sexual orientation. This policy applies to membership, access to held offices, and all other activities involving the SMA.

2. The general membership shall consist of all active members.

3. Active membership requires an annual fee or a per semester fee. The fee amount, determined by the Executive Board, shall reflect the association's financial needs as noted in the annual budget.

4. Active membership requires no more than three absences from formal SMA meetings per semester. The fourth absence will require a review by the Executive Board to determine continued membership. A ¾ vote in favor of expulsion by the Executive Board is sufficient for dismissal. The Executive Board reserves the right to change membership requirements as determined necessary.
