Club Advocates

The Club Advocates perform some of the most important services that ASUA provides to the student body.  Their duties include visiting clubs and organizations on campus and advising them on club funding procedures, event planning, and university structure.  In addition, the five club advocates:

Act as liaisons to the 500+ clubs on campus and organize personal visits to all of the clubs in conjunction with other staff members of the Exec. VP Cabinet.

Have a working knowledge of all ASUA and university funding guidelines and be able to articulate those guidelines to clubs and organizations.

Assist campus clubs and organizations in preparing and presenting funding request and appeals.

Manage the ASUA Club Resource Center

Each recognized club and organization on campus is represented by a Club Advocate.

ASUA provides a number of opportunities to campus clubs and organizations including mail service, fundraising assistance, recruitment programming, marketing techniques, and club funding!

There are five appointed Club Advocates who serve as a resource to clubs and organizations.  Each club or organization on campus is assigned to a trained club advocate, who can assist in any of these areas.

Every year, the Appropriations Board allocates approximately $100,000 to different clubs and organizations to help their efforts to contribute to the campus community by putting on events, coordinating guest speakers, and representing the university in various conferences throughout the year.

The Appropriations Board consists of seven appointed directors who meet weekly to evaluate funding decisions.

Our office has the most direct contact with the student body of any area of ASUA. We work with campus leaders on a day-to-day basis to help their group achieve their goals.

If you are interested in working in the Club Resource Center, we are always open to new faces and new ideas!  Please contact us by phone, 621-6662, or by email, asuaevp@email.arizona.edu, if you have any questions about our programs or are looking to get more involved!
