Following this guide should provide all delegates with ample information to debate from their country's point-of-view to the fullest.




  • 2. This document explains what is expected in position papers. It includes a brief summary of what should be included in the papers. It also includes the due date and how to submit the papers.




  • 3. This document provides a short resource for resolution writing. It is important to learn about resolution writing through a more comprehensive document as well as practice resolution writing. However, this document is a great quick guide while in committee. It includes a breif description of the proper layout as well as recommended starters to preambular and operative clauses.




  • 4. This document is a short guide to formal debate. It states the appropriate way of speaking during committee. There are many formal statements that need to be made during your deabte. If the statements noted here are practiced and remebered, you will be able to speak the language of diplomats fluently.




  • 5. This documents states tactics and strategies used during debate. It is by no means the only way to go about committee, nor is it a sure fire way to influence your fellow delegates. It simply discloses the proven tactics that the Arizona Model United Nations has been teaching our club members for years. Debating can be an intricate and delicate science. There are many ways to naivagte succesfully through Model UN conferences, and this is one path.
