Katie MacFarland

Katie is a doctoral candidate specializing in Archaeology with a minor in Geographic Information Systems. She is currently pursuing research focused on Iron Age (ca. 1,000-100 BCE) Scythians, Saka, and Xiongnu; people who lived throughout Central Eurasia, spanning from modern-day Ukraine to Mongolia, at various points in time. She is specifically interested in the complex and dynamic role of religion in the development of an early state-like society in Central Eurasia. Katie was the Layout Editor for Arizona Anthropologist for four years and is now Editor-in-Chief.

Angela Storey

Angela Storey, Assistant Layout Design Editor, is a PhD student in SocioCultural Anthropology, with a minor in Applied Anthropology. Her research focuses on social movements, including dissertation fieldwork with local groups working to improve basic service delivery to informal settlements in Cape Town, South Africa.

Sydney Tuller

Sydney Tuller is an undergraduate student and serves as a reviewer and the events planner for the Arizona Anthropologist. She is pursuing a BSc degree in anthropology with a focus on human biology, and is president of the Undergraduate Anthropology Club. Sydney has also been involved in archaeological excavations, in the US and abroad, as well as genetic research concerning early human migration.

Emilio Rodriguez-Alvarez

Emilio Rodríguez-Álvarez is member of the editorial board for the Arizona Anthropologist. He is a PhD student in Mediterranean Archaeology (School of Anthropology) and Classical Archaeology (Department of Classics). Ancient Greece is Emilio's main field of study, and his research interests include ceramic analysis, GIS and landscape archaeology, rural settlements, numismatics, ancient languages, and the application in the field of the principles of archaeological theory. I study cultural anthropology in the MA/PhD program in the UA School of Anthropology. My region of interest is the Caribbean, in particular the French Caribbean. I have previously spent time in Haiti and look forward to studying Haitians in French Guiana. Topically, I study history, political economy, religion, and discourse. I am from Charlottesville, Virginia.

Dana is a doctoral student of Linguistic Anthropology minoring in Cognitive Science and Cultural Anthropology. Recent research has addressed the intersection between experience of space and patterns of cognition within a cultural milieu.
