Become a Reviewer

Arizona Anthropologist Depends on Its Reviewers

Being a reviewer of scholarly articles submitted to the Arizona Anthropologist is a great way to contribute positively to the field and to help us ensure that the journal remains of high quality and competitive. Reading and reviewing the work of others is beneficial in a number of ways, including allowing the reviewer to contribute directly to the work and thinking of colleagues, by providing insight into how colleagues in a given subfield are doing research, by providing first-hand exposure to emerging topics in the field and by contributing to a sense of community and connection among scholars in anthropology both within and between fields.

Reviewers, and those who have had their scholarly articles reviewed, will tell you that the peer-review process is by far one of the most important in their emergence as successful scholars. We encourage all interested persons to consider becoming a reviewer for the Arizona Anthropologist.
