o       For almost every event, we meet at the flagpole near Old Main to carpool.
o       Feeding the Hungry
?       Note:  We will be discontinuing Feeding the Hungry at the end of October.
We will be replacing it with another weekly event.
?       Serving dinner to the homeless at the Holy Family Church
?       Every Friday from 6 ? 7:30 PM
?       Every Sunday from 3:30 ? 5 PM
?       Meet at the flagpole at 5:45 PM on Fridays and at 3:15 PM on Sundays
o       Tucson Meet Yourself
?       Helping with an annual cultural fair at El Presidio park
?       Saturday, October 13, 2007 and Sunday, October 14, 2007
?       Shifts:  Saturday 8 AM ? 12 PM and 4 PM ? 8 PM; Sunday 4 PM ? 8 PM
?       Meet at the flagpole half an hour before your shift begins (i.e. if you
shift begins at 8 AM, meet at the flagpole at 7:30 AM)
?       You will receive at $5 food voucher good for many of the ethnic food booths
at the fair when you volunteer.
o       Beads of Courage Open House
?       Greeting people at the Beads of Courage Store and providing interviews and
pictures for the Kiwanis Magazine

o       Family Weekend Fundraiser
?       During Family Weekend (Friday, October 19, 2007 and Saturday, October 20,
2007) we will be selling teddy bears in front of the Chemistry building for $10
?       If you are going to be on campus that weekend, please sign up to man the
booth
?       For each fundraiser you participate in, you receive one active member point!
?       Club Recruitment
o       Family Weekend Club Fair
?       During Family Weekend (Friday, October 19, 2007 and Saturday, October 20,
2007) we will have a booth on the mall to spread awareness of CKI and recruit
new members
?       If you are going to be on campus that weekend, please sign up to man the
booth
?       Social
o       Haunted Corn Maze
?       To continue our club?s tradition, we will be going to the haunted corn
maze!

o       Member buddies are finally here!  We will be giving out member buddy
assignments at next week?s meeting!
?       T-Shirts
o       T-Shirts will be here at the end of next week, so we will be handing them out
at our October 24 meeting!
?       Y.E.S. Committee
o       Due to many cancellations, there will be no Y.E.S. Committee meeting tonight.

?       Fall Rally
o       Each fall, CKI members are invited to attend Fall Rally, a district event that
takes place at Kamp Kiwanis in Vanderwagon, New Mexico.  This year it will be
held from Friday, October 19 through Sunday, October 21 and the theme is
?Sentenced to Service? ? a prison theme.  We were fully funded by ASUA
for two vans to drive to New Mexico.  We will probably be leaving campus by 1
PM on Friday so that we can get there around 8 PM.
