o       For almost every event, we meet at the flagpole near Old Main to carpool.
o       Feeding the Hungry
?       Note:  We will be discontinuing Feeding the Hungry at the end of October.
We will be replacing it with another weekly event.  If you have a good idea for
a weekly event, let us know.
?       Serving dinner to the homeless at the Holy Family Church
?       Every Friday from 6 ? 7:30 PM
?       Every Sunday from 3:30 ? 5 PM
?       Meet at the flagpole at 5:45 PM on Fridays and at 3:15 PM on Sundays
o       Make a Difference Day
?       Volunteer with faculty, staff, and other students to help improve the Tucson
community by cleaning up a local middle school campus

o       Journals
?       Journals are back!  We will be continuing our pen pal program with students
from the Wildcat Charter School in the next few weeks.  Many of the students
took part in the program last year and there will be a lot of new students as
well!  For every two entries that you write to your pen pal, you will receive
an active member point!
?       Fundraising
o       Family Weekend Fundraiser
?       During Family Weekend (Friday, October 19, 2007 and Saturday, October 20,
2007) we will be selling teddy bears in front of the Chemistry building for $10
?       If you are going to be on campus this weekend, please sign up to man the
booth
?       For each fundraiser you participate in, you receive one active member point!
?       Club Recruitment
o       Family Weekend Club Fair
?       During Family Weekend (Friday, October 19, 2007 and Saturday, October 20,
2007) we will have a booth on the mall to spread awareness of CKI and recruit
new members
?       If you are going to be on campus this weekend, please sign up to man the
booth
?       Social
o       Haunted Corn Maze
?       To continue our club?s tradition, we will be going to the haunted corn
maze at Buckelew Farm!  The price is $18 for both the regular and the haunted
corn mazes and $10 for just the regular corn maze.  Keep your eyes open for
coupons in the Arizona Daily Wildcat!

o       We will be leaving campus at 1 PM on Friday!  Meet at the flagpole with all of
your stuff.  You should have received a ?what to bring? email, but if you
didn?t, contact Jennifer Phillips at jrp927@email.arizona.edu.  Don?t
forget to bring a towel!!!  ?

o       The Y.E.S. Committee meeting tonight will be in the San Pedro room.
?       Member Buddies
o       Member buddies are finally here!  We will be giving out member buddy
assignments at next week?s meeting!
?       Kiwanis Meetings
o       If you are free at noon on Fridays or at 7 AM on Tuesdays, please consider
attending our sponsoring Kiwanis clubs? meetings to supplement our Kiwanis
Family Relations Chair.  Meet Kiwanians and get information about what they are
up to, as well as pass along information about what our club is up to!
