Let's make IBSO a fun place! Help organize social events, conferences, debates, and many other activities. For the organization of such events, you will be working with many on-campus organizations, and will gain great planning and organizational skills, while having fun!

To be part of the Events Committee, please contact our Events Chair, Blanca Salmon at blancas@email.arizona.edu or meet with her at one of our meetings.

The Event Chair is always interested in your ideas and suggestions, so if you know of an event or have a great idea of one IBSO should host, please feel free to share!

SOME FUN EVENTS WE HAVE DONE IN THE PAST:

• "Fusion" Asian-American Leadership Conference (click on the link for more info)

• Semester Parties: This year IBSO hopes to have 2 semester parties -one in the Fall and one in the Spring- for all members to kick-back and have fun!

• Cultural Dinners: Once a month, IBSO will be taking a field trip to a local ethnic restaurant voted "Best of Tucson" that corresponds to a specific region (Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa). These dinners will provide members an opportunity to socialize outside of meetings while dining on delicious authentic cuisines!

• Tucson Community Cultural Festivals and Activities: The city of Tucson hosts a variety of cultural festivals and activities all semester long (check out the Community Calendar). IBSO wants to make some of these Tucson events an IBSO event where we can all share in the fun of different cultures and appreciate the cultures of the city.
  IBSO hopes to attend the following Community events:
  • October 8: Tucson Meet Yourself Multicultural Festival
  • December: Nordic Fair
