About the Investments Club

The Investments Club is a student organization that facilitates an environment where students can develop a better understanding of investment strategies while interacting with professionals in the investment community. The student organization meets bi-weekly and is comprised of 35 active members. Traditionally the club's speakers are professionals from the investment community in Southern Arizona. Speakers at each club meetings discuss various topics that include: Current Market Conditions, Market Forecasts, Investing Strategies, Investment Analysis, Career Advice and Guidance.

The dues for our club are $55 per semester or $85 for the year. Member dues help to pay for events that we attend gifts for guest speakers, social meetings, registration fees with the University and minor overhead expenses. There is also an application that all members must fill out in order to gain some information on the background and experience of members. Please view the list of Club Members.

The Investments Club provides a great way to meet and network with many students and investment professionals. Our club is offered internships from firms such as Merrill Lynch, Northwestern Mutual, Sunrise Capital Management, and Vanguard. The club has participated in events such as the Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge, the RISE (Redefining Investment Strategy Education) Global Student Investment Forum at the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio and the Las Vegas Traders Expo in previous years. This coming year the Investments Club is planning on sending club members to New York to meet with industry professionals, the Las Vegas Traders Expo, and the Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge. In addition to providing students with the opportunity to attend off-campus events, the Investments Club is looking to provide Eller students with access to career opportunities in the investment industry.
