Welcome

The Japanese Association at the University of Arizona is a social group designed to create a welcoming community where people who share an interest in Japanese culture can share their common interests, teach, and learn from each other.

Our Mission

We are not only for Japanese speakers or Japanese students; anyone who is willing to respect others and each others' cultures is welcome.

In addition to spreading knowledge and appreciation of Japanese culture, the Japanese Association is also aimed at helping incoming transfer students from Japan. We offer a conversation partner program to help these students and non-Japanese students who are studying Japanese study together and practice English and Japanese, respectively.

There is no membership fee to join or participate in any of the Japanese Association's events. If you are interested in learning more about the club, or in signing up to receive our emails, please contact:
