A Micro Air Vehicle (MAV) is a tiny radio controlled or autonomous airplane designed for surveillance or reconnaissance missions. The MAV club at the University of Arizona is one of the world’s leaders in the design of MAVs with fixed or flapping wings. Both the world’s smallest ornithopter (flapping wing vehicle) and autonomous MAV were designed by our club members.
