- NSCS Mission Statement

The National Society of Collegiate Scholars is an honors organization which recognizes outstanding academic achievement among first and second year college students and encourages members to develop leadership skills through community service.

The Society was founded in 1994 at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. NSCS has active chapters at 218 colleges and universities nationwide, in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Chapters are involved in service to their campus and local communities, as well as scholastic and social activities.

NSCS members are also eligible to participate in a variety of activities sponsored by the Society. Scholarships and awards, leadership development activities, service programs, community building and information sharing are the focus of activities organized nationally. U of A Chapter

The University of Arizona chapter of NSCS was founded in 1999. It has nearly 400 members at the U of A, and a total of over 1200 members and alumni. General meetings are held once a month. Times and dates will be announced through e-mail.
