Hi! My name is Madison John and I’m a senior at the University of Arizona, majoring in history. I grew up a very secular household, never really learning anything about the Bible or going to church. When I came to college at the University of Arizona I met a campus minister, Joanna, and I agreed to begin a Bible study with her. Thinking that all we were going to do was study the Bible as a historical book, I was surprised to learn that the goal of the Bible study was to lead me into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I had never heard about anyone having a personal relationship with Jesus, and when Joanna told me her own testimony of how she’d gotten saved, I didn’t believe such a thing was possible. However, as we continued in the Bible study, the Lord showed me that not only was a personal relationship with Him possible, but that He also desired one. Finally, in February 2005 I surrendered my life to Christ’s lordship when I prayed to accept His blood as a covering for my sin, and I was immediately adopted into the kingdom of God.
Since then, the Lord has continued to do awesome and wonderful things in my life, including calling me to be the secretary of Wildcats for Christ for this upcoming year. I am so excited and incredibly thankful to be part of something that the Lord uses to reach out to so many people. I am looking forward to see how the Lord will use WFC this year, and I’m confident it’ll be in an amazing way!
