Gay Evans, RN, MS, FNP

Gay obtained her Bachelor of Science in OBU School of Nursing in Shawnee, Oklahoma in 1959 from where she graduated Cum Laude in her class. She also has a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Minnesota and became a certified family nurse practioner at the University of Arizona in 1975. She has work with El Rio since 1974 to present. And has received several honors throughout her career, just to mention a few, Arizona Nurse Practitioner of the Year 1993 and 1994, One of Tucson's Fabulous Fifty Nurses in 1998. She was also a member of the University of Arizona College of Nursing Professional Nursing Advisory Council from 1993-2000 and a Pima Community College Associate Degree Nursing Advisory Commitee from 1983-1985.

 

Joyce Vyriotes Health Care Service Coordinator

Joyce is the Health Care Service Coordinator for the Southern Arizona
Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. She took this position in May of 2006 and oversees the services provided by MDA to local people affected by neuromuscular diseases. These services include specialty clinics, support groups, a loan closet, public education and MDA Summer Camp.

Prior to working for MDA, Joyce was a fundraiser for the Arizona Cancer
Center and the American Cancer Society. She moved to Tucson 10 years ago to escape the long, cold winters in Massachusetts. To view the Muscular Dystrophy Association visit http://www.mda.org/

 


Lynne Edde, D.O. of UMC

Dr. Edith Lynn Edde, D.O. is a faculty appointed assistant professor, and clinical pediatrics medical practitioner. She specializes in neonatology and currently works in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at the University Medical Center.

Dr. Edde completed her medical school training at Kirksville College of
Osteopathic Medicine in 1992. She then attended her residency at A.I. duPont Institute Pediatric Internship (Pediatrics) in 1994, and at University of Texas San Antonio (Pediatrics) in 1996. Finally, she completed her fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine Houston Texas in 1999.

 


Lori Pemberton Registered Pharmacist of Walgreens

Lori is a registered Pharmacist whom works at Walgreens here is Arizona. She graduated from Duquesne University School of Pharamcy (Now called Mylan School of Pharmacy) in Pittsburg. This is a private school where she obtained her BS degree before the conversion was required for Pharmacists to get a Doctoral.
She started working at Walgreens on May 1996 where her responsibilities consist but not limited to: ordering/inventory management, supervision of technicians and interns, counseling new patients, drug utilizatio, and problem solving (insurance, customers, etc...)
