Torry Dixon
What is your name, where are you from and what are you doing in Tucson?
My name is Torry Dixon. I am originally from Hartsville, SC and moved to Tucson to work as an engineer.
What attracted you to Tucson?
Mainly it was work, although I was (and continue to be) pleasantly surprised by the place.
How did you hear about BGSA-UA and what motivated you to join?
Elodie from ASU sent Ada and Ro an email telling them I was coming down here. I joined because I like seeing people who look like me constantly improving themselves and the community.
Any favorite BGSA-UA activities, experiences?
I liked making lunches at the Ronald McDonald House and I enjoyed the End of Year party last year with the white elephant gift exchange. Getting a free calendar magnet didn't hurt either :).
Of the three pillars that BGSA stands upon, which is your favorite and why?
Community service. I like helping people; makes me feel useful.
What's your favorite movie? Who are your favorite actors and/or actresses?
Movie: Die Hard 2,3, and 4

Actress: Eva Mendes, Halle Berry
What's the weirdest life experience you've ever had?
I sang "Let's Get it On", stone-cold sober, as my first karaoke song.
